Coffee With A Difference
The end comes to what exists in this immemorial universe. This means that change is an inevitable and eternal law of nature. I hope that the global pandemic corona crisis will end soon.
So, now there is no travel restriction, my friend and I decided to go to Dehradun on our motorcycle. And we had driven for about two hours when I suggested we should have a cup of coffee. We decided to stop in Roorkee 10 km ahead and have a cup of coffee.
As we reached the outskirts of the city, my mind was full of pleasant thoughts of approaching the place after a long time where I spent a few years of my life. I thought I'd have coffee and take some pictures. But, we could not enter the city, as a flyover took us out of the city onto the Delhi-Dehradun bypass.
But we wanted to have a cup of coffee, so we decided that we would stop at the first coffeehouse we see in Roorkee and have coffee.
As soon as we came down the flyover, and we traveled about 5-6 km we saw this coffee house on the side of the road. It was a strange sight. Cane chairs were placed among the flowers on the lawn under the shaded grass-made umbrellas, and the staff stood there to welcome us. We parked our bikes in the parking lot and entered the small lawn in front of the coffee house.
The coffee here is made using the espresso method, and the baristas take pride in their technique and hospitality. Each coffee type uses a different method of extraction, which determines how much coffee should go into the cup. They have a variety of snack items to fill and please your taste buds, but we wanted to try out their sugar-free jaggery coffee, which they claim is their expertise.
You can enjoy it with hot or cold drinks. The coffeehouse has also introduced the lounge concept for drinking coffee, which makes it even more attractive and in demand in the current situation. And what I liked most was the coffee was served in designer earthen cups.
This coffee house has maintained its authenticity by serving delicious food items like dosa, toast, eggs, fish, chicken curry, and vegetarian dishes here. There are many options for you to choose from as soon as you satisfy your hunger. But we were not hungry so we only asked for a cup of coffee.
This is another small but beautiful food chain that takes its coffee in earthy cups to another level. They told us that they opened their first outlet in Kolkata. Since then they have offered delicious brews of hot coffee along with cold varieties. It has a range of delicious foods that are affordable and in a wide range of food from various states and countries. It meant one has plenty of food selections to ensure you can enjoy the food here sitting outside watching the flowers and following the social distancing rule.
I loved that coffee. It had slightly pungent, but, it still had a very sweet taste. The aroma of this coffee was so good that I asked the barista to share its recipe with me, but he smiled and remained silent. It was probably his trade secret. As a coffee lover, I enjoyed the aroma of coffee and smelled a different one as customers kept asking for different types.

It is a lovely feeling to revisit places and be pleasantly surprised to find them serving authentic food and drink.
Sounds like that was a day well spent on your motorcycle with your friend.
Good vibes:)
@millycf1976 Thanks, I was on a trip white water rafting in the Himalayas. We enjoyed the trip doing so many activities after a long time since the Corona had stopped almost all outings. I hope this dreaded disease goes away forever.
Hey @rayt2
I add strength to that wish, as I feel the exact same.
I am not a water person, but once I went tubing on a wide white river; the experience was so amazing, that I was elated for an entire week. The experience left me wanting to stop strangers in the streets to tell them about my amazing experience.
I do hope you get to do many more activities like that 😁
Sure, I took some pictures of this trip (water rafting) which I will post later. I was once regular with this activity, but this trip was after a long gap. Thank you.
Thanks for the member's badge @millycf1976 I am adding 25 more Hives to the delegation. Thank you so much for this honor bestowed upon me.
I love the plants, what a great environment to drink your coffee, looks like an awesome place to stop at😁
Thank you @tengolotodo for reading and what I liked even more about the place they were using the earthen cups which were use and throw.
I did wonder about the cups as I saw the pattern but was not sure if pottery or not.
