So I am here sitting and watching as a lot of us get depressed, a lot of young people because they are not satisfied with their lives or standard of life they have even though their standard is way better than what they think it is. Imagine a young man who has no family having spare $10k in their account but still feel like a failure or feel broke or poor because they don’t have $100k. Someone with $100k is also feeling poor and broke because they don’t have $1 Million, people are always looking for how to level up. And that is because of the invention of social media and constantly consuming a lot of information.

Imagine being a 28 year old living peacefully in your house being able to afford 3 square meal and pay your rent. Your life is going fine, you have good health, then you come on social media to see some 19 year old celebrating the McLaren and the house he just bought. Now you are feeling sad and feeling like a failure because you don’t have those things. While you are feeling like that, cost of living is also increasing making it really difficult to save up while paying bills.

People are constantly posting their new cars, vacation pictures, renovating their kitchen, but here you are with your little savings and you know that if you touch it to go for that vacation that has been on your mind you will have little to nothing left in your savings. But if there was no social media it won’t matter because you won’t even see it to feel oppressed. What’s the solution? Well, it’s all in your head, because if you get that car or that house you have been praying and saving for, it’s just a matter of time before you start praying and saving for another one. Find your peace and hold on to it.
