What a mess! Everything is as usual! My trips are getting shorter and shorter and are not as interesting as they were three and a half years ago...
I had intended to go to the town of Altino, near Venice... but it didn't work out... bus number 4, which went from Mestre to Altino, was canceled... I wasted a lot of time and money.
So that my day off wouldn't be wasted, I went to Bassano del Grappa. The weather was also wonderful! I never had to get bored in this city!
The wonderful architecture of the central part, bars and cafes with ice cream all around; an old wooden bridge, where at the entrance there is a wonderful bar with a thousand types of Nordini grappa; the rapid Brenta River with mountain, crystal clear water; dozens of fishermen up to their waists in cold water; they catch fish, mountain salmon, take pictures, and then release them into the water; sport fishing; on a white flat stone in the middle of a raging river, lovers of soaking up the spring sun expose their faces...

От, халепа! Все як завжди! Мої подорожі все зменшуються і стають не такими цікавими, як були півтри року тому...
Мала намір поїхати в містечко Алтіно, що поблизу Венеції... але не склалося... автобус номер 4, який їхав з Местре до Алтіно анульовано...я витратила багато часу і грошей даремно.
Щоб мій вихідний не пропав марно я поїхала в Бассано дель Граппа. Ще й погода була чудова! В цьому місті нудьгувати мені ніколи не приходилося!
Чудова архітектура центральної частини, кругом бари і кафе з морозивом; старовинний дерев'яний міст, де на вході чудовий бар з тисячою видів граппи Nordini; стрімка річка Брента з гірською, кришталево чистою водою; десятки рибалок по пояс у холодній воді; вони ловлять рибу, гірського лосося, фотографують, а потім випускають у воду; спортивна риболовля; на білому пласкому камінні посеред бурхливої річки, любителі поніжитися на весняному сонечку, виставляють свої обличчя...

And I saw an advertisement for an exhibition at the Sturm Palace. I've never been inside the palace. I've only been to the courtyard a couple of times, where there's a huge statue of a rhinoceros in the middle, which shimmers in the sun with its metallic shine.

А я побачила оголошення про виставку в Палаці Штурм. Ніколи не була всередині палацу. Тільки пару раз заходила на подвір'я, де посередині встановлена величезна статуя носорога, який на сонці переливається своїм металевим блиском.

And today I have a lot of time and today I bought a ticket for 8 euros to go in and see the palace itself and two exhibitions. This is the Remondini printing exhibition and the ceramics exhibition. I will tell you about them another time. And in general I want to say that Bassano del Grappa is famous for both!
While looking around the exhibition, I moved from one hall to another. And then the door to a large and extremely beautiful mirror hall opened in front of me! I stepped into the room and in each mirror I saw my reflection. In the middle of the hall stood a huge concert grand piano. And chairs for the audience... I sat down on one of them and began to examine the ceiling! The painting depicted on the ceiling was huge! I called my daughter in Ukraine. I told her where I was. She typed my location into Google. We began to discuss the plot and beauty of this magnificent fresco.
The central figure was the god Jupiter or Zeus. He sat astride some strange bird! The legs of an eagle with strong claws, and the head of a swan or goose! A formidable old man held in his hands a weapon for punishment! This is thunder and lightning! With the help of these elements God rules this world! He is the master of Earth and Heaven! A mighty, formidable thunderbolt!
People are gathered around. They are so afraid of the manifestation of God's wrath and power that they are ready to hide underground! They climb under the rocks...their faces are distorted with fear, their hands are directed upwards with palms up, as if protecting themselves from the disaster that could befall them! Their backs are bent, muscles are tense!

А сьогодні в мене багато часу і саме сьогодні я купила квиток за 8 євро щоб зайти та побачити сам палац та дві експозиції. Це виставка друкарського ремесла Ремондіні та виставка кераміки. Про них я розповім іншим разом. А назагал хочу сказати, що Бассано дель Граппа славиться і тим і іншим!
Я, оглядаючи експозицію, переходила з однієї зали в іншу. І згодом переді мною відчинилися двері до великої за розмірами і надзвичайно красивої дзеркальної зали! Я ступила в кімнату і в кожному дзеркалі я побачила своє відрбраження. Посередині залу стояв величезний концертний рояль. І стільці для слухачів... на один з них я присіла і почала розглядати стелю! Картина, зображена на стелі, була величезна! Я зателефонувала своїй дочці в Україну. Розповіла де я знаходжусь. Вона в Гуглі набрала моє місце знаходження. Ми почали обговорювати сюжет та красу цієї величної фрески.
Центральною дієвою особою був бог Юпітер чи Зевс. Він сидів верхи на якомусь дивній птасі! Ноги орла з міцними кігтями, а голова лебедя чи гуски! Грізний старий дідуган тримав в своїх руках зброю для покарання! Це грім і блискавка! За допомогою цих стихій Бог управляє цим світом! Він повелитель Землі І Неба! Могутній, грізний громовержець!
Навколо зосереджені люди. Вони настільки бояться прояву люті та сили Бога, що готові сховатись під землю! Вони залізають під скали...їхні обличчя перекошені від страху, їхні руки спрямовані вгору долонями вверх, ніби захищаючи себе від біди, що може їх занапастити! Їхні спини зігнуті, м'язи напружені!

These are my observations as a simple average viewer. And it turns out that the artist had his own idea! The great master of the brush depicted this picture to show the struggle of darkness with light, progress with the darkness of stagnation, the best human virtues with vices! Such as pride, envy, anger, laziness, greed, gluttony and lust. And the artist also created a play of light and shadow. Sunlight falls on the part of the picture where human virtues are painted. The shadow falls on the vices...
This was created so that beautiful guests would enter the hall, see themselves in the mirrors, so rich, in expensive clothes... and then their eyes would rise up to the majestic picture... and the understanding of their life situation would change...

Це мої спостереження як простого пересічного глядача. А виявляється, у художника був свій задум! Великий майстер пензля зобразив цю картину щоб показати боротьбу темряви зі світлом, прогресу з мороком застою, найкращих людських чеснот з пороками! Такими як гординя, заздрість, гнів, лінь, жадоба, ненажерливість та хіть. І ще художник створив гру світла та тіні. Сонячне світло падає на ту частину картини, де намальовані людські чесноти. Тінь лягає на пороки...
Це було створено для того, щоб красиві гості заходили в залу, бачили себе в дзеркалах, таких багатих, в дорогому одязі... а потім їхні очі піднімалися вгору до величної картини... і розуміння їхньої життєвої ситуації міняється...

I am very pleased with my visit to the Sturm Palace! It was a new discovery for me! Even in a city where you have been many times, you can find something new for yourself!
