Saludos a toda la comunidad de Full Deportes, es bonito siempre regresar, aunque no como yo quisiera. Hace unos días rondó la noticia de que Leo Messi disputará su último partido como jugador activo en suelo argentino.

De repente vinieron a mi mente tantos recuerdos, los mas cercanos del 2015 hacia acá. Ver jugar a Messi es algo maravilloso, es como ver un paseo de magia con cada toque se enamore el balón de Messi.

Por las eliminatorias sudamericanas en el próximo mes de septiembre, la selección argentina de la cual es hincha el amigo @hosgug, se enfrentará a la siempre combativa selección de la vinotinto del amigo @fermionico. En este partido, será el último que dispute la albiceleste en cancha propia, ya que sus últimos dos compromisos en las eliminatorias serán a domicilio.

Para mí, aunque sea cubano, me será raro ver a Messi fuera de la selección. Aunque tenga ya 38 años, Lionel siempre hace mucha falta en el campo. Sus pases milimetricos, su regate, su cambio de ritmo. Es difícil encontrar otro futbolista como Lionel.

Espero que en el estadio que sea, el Monumental de River o la Bombonera de Boca, le hagan la despedida que merece el rosarino. Si la despedida de Ángel Di María fue triste, y créanme que a día de hoy a pesar del talento maravilloso de los jugadores que hay en la selección, el fideo hace falta, imagínensen si falta la cabeza pensante del proyecto.

Porque si falta Messi, falta todo en el campo. No será fácil la verdad, si el mismo Barcelona se lo ha sentido después de 3 años, que se puede esperar de la campeona del mundo. Confío en que esta nueva generación podrá seguir adelante sin su astro, tras el Mundial del 2026. Sin embargo, la magia, el talento de un jugador que al principio tras los constantes fracasos con su país, muchos lo querian fuera, hoy es el idolo de todos.

Y soy de los que piensa que los primeros que se burlarán serán los haters, créanme que hasta los haters de Messi extrañarán al mejor jugador de la historia de este magnífico deporte. Puedo decir con todas las letras, mis ojos vieron jugar a Messi, mis ojos vieron ese Messi que ganó títulos con el Barcelona, ese Messi que anotaba golazos desde cualquier parte del campo.

Ese Messi que tenía un francotirador en su pierna zurda, y después ese Messi que lo ganó todo con su país. Si lloraré como lloré aquel 18 de diciembre del 2022, aunque no sea igual, será más de nostalgia que de alegría. Quizás no debería llorar porque terminará, debería sonreír porque sucedió y llenó de alegría parte de mi adolescencia y juventud. Te queremos siempre Lionel Andrés Messi.

Nostalgia

Greetings to the entire Full Deportes community; it’s always nice to return, even if not in the way I would like. A few days ago, news circulated that Leo Messi will play his last match as an active player on Argentine soil. Suddenly, so many memories came to mind, especially those from 2015 onwards. Watching Messi play is something wonderful; it’s like witnessing a magical parade with every touch as the ball falls in love with him.

In the upcoming South American qualifiers next month, the Argentine national team, of which my friend @hosgug is a fan, will face the always combative Vinotinto team of my friend @fermionico. This match will be the last one the Albiceleste plays on home soil, as their last two commitments in the qualifiers will be away. For me, even though I am Cuban, it will feel strange to see Messi out of the national team. Even at 38 years old, Lionel is always greatly missed on the field. His precise passes, his dribbling, his change of pace—it's hard to find another footballer like Lionel.

I hope that wherever it is, whether at River's Monumental or Boca's Bombonera, they give the Rosario native the farewell he deserves. If Ángel Di María's farewell was sad, and believe me, even today, despite the wonderful talent of the players in the national team, we miss El Fideo; just imagine how much we’ll miss the mastermind of the project. Because if Messi is missing, everything is missing on the field. It won’t be easy, to be honest; if Barcelona has felt it after three years, what can we expect from the world champions? I trust that this new generation will be able to move forward without their star after the 2026 World Cup. However, the magic and talent of a player who, at first, after constant failures with his country, many wanted out, is now everyone’s idol.

And I’m one of those who believes that the first to mock will be the haters; believe me, even Messi's haters will miss the best player in the history of this magnificent sport. I can say with all certainty that my eyes saw Messi play; my eyes saw that Messi who won titles with Barcelona, that Messi who scored stunning goals from anywhere on the field, that Messi who had a sniper in his left foot, and then that Messi who won everything with his country. I will cry just like I did on December 18, 2022; although it won’t be the same, it will be more out of nostalgia than joy. Perhaps I shouldn’t cry because it’s ending; I should smile because it happened and filled part of my adolescence and youth with joy. We will always love you, Lionel Andrés Messi.
