Our Mini Poultry with Ducks and Chickens which my Husband Manages before going to work, Cooking one of our Chickens Fresh from our Poultry
Hello hivers of this community! How are you doing? Today I’m gonna show you our mini poultry which my husband manages every morning before going to work.
This mini poultry was a great provider to us since we had a duck and chicken. We could cooked different dishes out from it.
It only started with only 2 ducks then after months, our duck lay eggs first it was 17 ducks, we are very happy to have this poultry, because it can also give us an extra income if someone buys it. Today 1 kilo of kilo is about 260 pesos or approximately around 5 HBD. One duck kilo about 3 so it was a good income if we could sell it all.

My husbands feed our duck every morning and my uncle helps us when he was at work. Sometimes we feed the ducks with our left-over rice. One of our ducks lay eggs again, and this time it’s around 25. We are very thankful for this kind of blessings that we had.
Here in our place nearly all our neighborhood raises a duck. So, we decided to put them on a net so that it wouldn’t mix with another duck on our neighborhood.
My husband also purchased 30 pcs. of chicken and planned to disposed it after two weeks. He bought the chickens around 80 pesos each or nearly 2 HBD each. Our profit was doubled after two weeks.
We decided to cooked one of our chickens for our lunch today. My husband cooked chicken adobo.
It was really great that we had a mini poultry like this because for my husband it was also his stress reliever, taking care of the ducks and chickens also reminded him of his late father who just died last year. My late father-in-law was the one who takes cares of our mini poultry back when he was still alive. Until now we are continuing to have this mini poultry, and my husband was also planning to expand this because it was a good business and extra income for us.
Right now, we are planning to have a pig soon, but we don’t have enough budget so for the meantime we are raising these ducks and chicken and soon, by God’s grace it will expand more.
That's all my dear hivers of this community. Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely, @saijan19

That’s a nice hobby and business as well. The dish looks delicious!
Yes, it was indeed a great help for us. Thank you for reading my blog ☺️
We also raised ducks and chicken before and this helped us to have our free food both from the meat of the chickens or ducks and also from the eggs. Adobo mostly is the easy recipe to cook but so yummy. You are blessed your husband cooks.
It's a great help right? When there is occasions or a family from afar who visits us, they tend to request dish that are meat of ducks.
Exactly, they would request Patutin and I love cooking it.
Wow you're ate living the dream mam. I also want to put some chicken farm but right now we have a small shrimp pond. We are into shrimp farming. It is really profitable to be in this industry, the farming industry. Hope for me and my husband to buy chickens, ducks and other farm animals too. This will surely save us a penny.
That's a very good pastime. At the same time you're earning from it.
For me, nothing can beat chicken adobo. 😆
