Crochet - Playing with Yarns
I just remembered that I had yarn lying around and decided to start doing something small today. So, I thought of sharing it with you all. To be honest, when I started chaining, I had a wall hanging in my mind that I had made for a school project. That one was made with plastic wires - one loop into another and hung on a rod. It was very beautiful and made with so much effort but on the day of presenting it for a school fair, I was sick and gave it to one of my friends who said that when she went to collect it, many of the staff remarked that it was beautiful and somebody took it away without permission. I was really devastated because it was made with so much effort and also the money invested was gone. Poof.
I wanted to recreate that one and thought of making crochet loops but plastic loops would be more sturdy. Therefore I just made a fancy-looking ring with the help of chains and double crochet.
As you can see, I made a chain ring and then continued with a four-chains plus double crochet into this ring as shown in the picture below. The main idea was to develop into a bigger project. I hope I can do it properly without postponing it. I have yet to complete a whole bedsheet but with lots of chores, it is stored away in a bag. One day, I hope I can write about it after completing the project.
Like it is shown above, the chains can be made bigger and lots more work done. It all depends on your wish. Various stitches can also be mixed and matched to get a more beautiful look. After completing the work, you can also sew in small crochet roses or hearts to make it look more pretty.
The above crochet rose and heart was made separately but I joined it together with the help of the end yarn. When once you get the hang of it, it is easy and cheap to make your own stuff than buy from stores. The only thing heavily invested in is your own time and if you enjoy #DIY projects, then you will love to do this.
This type of small project can also be made into a hair clip for a small girl. A slide/clip can be attatched to the back of the rose and used. Such stuff is also a good idea for a handmade gift. I just used the yarn I had in hand. Feel free to try and experiment with various colors and yarn sizes. Some of the yarn that now comes in bulky sizes are very cool to look but I have yet to use it because the yarn is really costly and we get only a few meters. So, when you buy yarn, please compare the prices to prevent being cheated.
I did find shops like Eswarshop selling for prices that were really better than that of popular online stores.

Hi @sayee, you got a very nice project, the color combination is perfect I liked the pink heart in the center, it's a great detail.
