Hive

Introduction

I have been a part of this Hive Ecosystem for a while.

I think I joined before the fork of "The Chain Which shall not be names"... LOL!

That was a serious and tragic event, but it is the genesis of Hive, so a mixed bag of emotions indeed.

I am also changing my role here from being primarily an investor in the defi ecosystem here, to more of a 'Curator Role".

I am waiting to transfer all my funds back to Hive. It has been a process, and I am taking my time to avoid losing money from the process of cashing out and converting to Hive.

While I think generating Content is Fun and valuable, as a new name in the Community, I think it is more advantageous to make a name for myself as a Curator versus as a Content Creator.

After all, I don't think I can expect people who don't know me to be interested in my content, unless I first form a relationship with them by being interested in their content.

But who knows if this will succeed, because some content creators don't engage at all with their comments, while there are some notable exceptions.

I think there is a lot of great content here, and lots of great content creators. So I think the demand here is more on the Content Curation side.

Body

Content Creators are key to the health of any Social Media Platform, but they exist to be discovered by ** Content Curators**, those who reward those who create content.

Personally, I see great value in finding and rewarding content creators here on Hive. |

But, I think Curators should have a different name, like Content Consumers and perhaps Curation Rewards could be called Consumer Rewards because those who enjoy the content of the content creators are actually content consumers and their upvotes are rewards to creators from consumers, so perhaps consumer rewards is a good way to name those rewards.

I can't claim to have thought up this name myself though... I read a comment written by @nonameslefttouse and he used this term, and I liked it, so I am using it.

I am however giving credit where credit is due. #nonameslefttouse

I hope I don't offend anyone, I am not suggesting Curation is a bad Term. I am just thinking of ideas to make myself Unique, because Hive is like an ocean filled with fish of various sizes, and all competing for attention. So this is my way of establishing an identity and uniqueness for myself.

I hope my transparency is enjoyable.
