‎It is very important that we know little things that matter in life. The people who are with you when you start small are those people you need to hold so close to your heart. You do not need to look outside to know your friends; you need to think very smart and also use your eyes to check.

‎In your humble beginnings, there are those people who encourage you, those people who give constructive criticism and those people who are there for you in any pains you are going through.

‎There were times that I was not always doing very well, and I had people whom I used to trust and hold in high esteem, but to my greatest shock, those were the people that actually discouraged me. I mean, there is this feeling you have when the people you actually thought would help you or maybe encourage you are the people trying to tell you to stop what you are doing.

Those kinds of people would always want to shut you up and make you feel you should not do what you are supposed to do; those people would always want themselves to be heard in any conversation you are having with them. They will actually say things that are not aligning with what you are saying; they would always want to advise and not suggest what you have to say. They will always say that you are proud if you do not listen to them or take their advice; they just want you to be quiet while they say what they have to say. In my opinion, it is better that you are not my friend because those kinds of people don't see you as a friend, but they are only there in your life to take from you and look down on you.
True friendship is one which makes you comfortable and okay; your friend should think of you even more than himself. He is not supposed to do anything that will hurt you.
‎Your friend is supposed to be there with you in hard times; you are supposed to trust your friend because you know that he will not hurt you.

I organized a yearly hangout, and something got me where we were there. I invited people because I thought that they were my friends, but to my greatest surprise, they were not there, not because they were busy but because they think that they are supposed to be there. These people I gave short notice to came around, and that taught me a lot of things. It is very bad to trust humans because those people you really put your hope in can actually disappoint you. It is better to have a lot of people who are acquaintances than to have people you call friends who are not actually your friends. You may be their friends, but on the other hand, they are not your friends, so it is better you stick to people who are there for you in hard times than people who are waiting for you to fail before they can come close to you.

‎A friend would always see to it that you succeed and not wait for you to succeed, and when you succeed, you should not forget those friends too, because they can actually tell your story.
