In life there are and will always be ups and downs – likewise rights and lefts so to say. These rights and lefts are what could be said to be the deviations from the values or beliefs that a human must have held religiously while in the younger years. There is an adage in my tradition that says He who has not experienced fight or problem calls himself a man. This means that until you have passed through some tests you can not be said to be a victor or perhaps a wise man in a precise situation of life. However, there are some things that no matter what happens the thought of it will never cross my mind.

Never Turn My Back On Family

First on my list is to never turn my back on family. The family is the smallest unit of the society. My family are the first set of people I knew in this world. Infact, they could be said to be the basic building block of man in all areas of his life. Before you met that friend, before you met your spice, your family had been with you all these years. I do affirm to myself that no matter how things may become my family will always be among my top priorities in my day to day life.

Help Whenever I Can

For the little while I have been on planet Earth, I have heard what the word ‘help’ can do. Not only that, I have seen it – including the smile and light it has brought to yhe faces and lives of people who were benefactors which includes me. This is why as long as I have the resources especially money at my disposal to help people, I will never hesitate to launch my arsenal to help. And never will I turn my back on people who need me. In the same vein, I believe in helping people equally irrespective of gender that some use as yardstick.

Backstab Not, Betray Not!

Moreover, one thing I hate in this world is backstabbing, betrayal. Apart from hate, it is heart breaking to experience it. Imagine someone trusting you with an invaluable thing and you go ahead to reveal it at the expense of maybe the survival of that person. I have witnessed what betrayal can do to humans. I wish and I believe I will never have the cause to backstab a friend, betray the trust of a fellow man.

No Smoking Nor Drinking

Apart from values, we all have our individual (physical) tastes, right? In the light of this, I wish I will never have the cause to smoke or drink (alcohol). It sounds funny right? But everyone is allowed to have their opinions anyway. The thing is, right from the time when I was much younger, I detest the smell that comes from smoking that is why anywhere or anyhow I smell an ounce of that I run off quickly. It is even choking to me. For the alcohol, I still wonder how people take such bitter thing. What happened to sweet things or sour drinks like Teem™.

When I think of what I wish I would never have to do, the list runs endless in my mind. Anyway, these are some of them I could put in writing for now as the spirit led me.😁
