What thoughts do you harbour??
Negative thoughts are something we all have, but something as common as they are, they are also some of the most dangerous things this planet has to offer. Those who overthink go through this motion almost every time, they are playing around with all the worst things that could happen in their head which causes analysis paralysis.
You might think your mindset is innocent, until it’s not. Once you brood on a bad mindset for long enough, eventually, it will become dangerous enough to destroy you. One of the dangers is that you may not know how “bad” or “negative” said mindset may really be and most times our minds are always on a free reign and we cannot control it.
For example, if you think you’re super chopped, there’ll definitely be a change in the way you behave, walk, talk, and carry yourself. This is where things like insecurities wallow. Our physical properties are usually what we think negatively of, especially for the ladies who pay more attention to their looks. I’ve seen people endanger their and other people’s lives just because “they thought.” Suicide attempts are just the manifestation of the stockpile of negative thoughts and emotions people have piled up overtime. Same with murder, revenge, envy and the list goes on.
Your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on what you “feed” it. If you keep feeding your brain negative thoughts about yourself or if you let your environment instill those thoughts into your mind, eventually, it will bring about a change in the way you relate to people, and behave; a terrible change most times and before we know it, we are too far gone into it and turning around to make amends becomes difficult.
Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by your emotions, thoughts or feelings. You take charge of the situation. Don’t feed your brain negative thoughts, otherwise, you might destroy yourself. Your situation isn’t special, EVERYONE has one crazy thought or the other going through their skull at any particular point in time, the difference is between those who let the thoughts affect and control them and those who don’t. Be part of the latter.
