For how long had I been asleep?
What sinful slumber had I been in?
How far had things gone?

I remembered I lay down to rest,
But for a short while
How did I end up in this deep slumber?

I might not know it all
But did the sky change its colour?
Did the birds lose their voices,
Or did they forget to sing today
Did the wave lose its dominance
But most importantly,
How much of me was lost,
In a sinful slumber unprepared for?

Did my old habits get buried?
How had I forgotten to smile?
Where were the colours that once filled the earth?
Or had I become colour-blind?

Who will answer my questions?
Who would believe my tale,
Which I find almost unbelievable

But YES!
It happened,
And I still need an answer

But still yet,
It is pointless
Where shall I seek him?
And quench the longing thirst of my soul
The answers that I seek desperately.
