My full potential, I'm not even sure what that looks like, I have an inkling, mainly being able to manifest what I need in order to really thrive in life, to be in a situation where I can then be of service to other beings and to the earth. Yeah I get it, it may sound a bit like new age bullshit. But I just want to live by example. I'm no preacher, I don't want no pedestal. I just want to be able to live my life as I desire and maybe inspire some folk a long the way.

I like to think I am on my way though. Isn't that the whole purpose of life, to find out what we are capable of. Which is all about trail and error really. Exploring life, finding out what we enjoy, what rocks our boat. Putting ourselves out there getting out of our comfort zone. Modern life, just wants us docile and lazy. That way we will just let things happen, without wanting to rock the boat. You are never going to reach your potential, if you are always sitting comfortably in life.

Life is meant to be painful, we are meant to face our challenges and overcome them. Not turn the other way or stick our heads in the ground. Sitting back in our lazy boys as life just sails right past us. I'm not saying that life has to hurt all of the time, or that we should avoid being comfortable. But we do need to face our shit, take the time to sit with ourselves and go to those uncomfortable places. Really get to know who we are. The light, the dark and everything in between.

It's not easy, this acceptance thing. Being happy with who you are. Plus we are all different, whats good for me, is not necessarily going to be good for you. Personally, I need to stay active in life, I thrive when I am working outdoors, especially in nature, working with the land. I'm not someone that can work in an office, I done it partially, when I was working as a Community Mental Health Nurse, when I had to spend half my time in an office. It really chipped away at me.

It chipped away at my creative side. I need the outdoors, to be in the elements. To walk everyday in the elements, come rain of shine. My body needs to be in sync with my natural environment. Then I feel my best.

You know I have lots of plans, of different things that I want to do, that I know will serve me well in life. That will help me reach my full potential. Better self care is high on that list, not pushing myself to the point of exhaustion. I have been working on it, but there is certainly room for improvement as I go into this next calendar year. Saying no, is a huge part of that. Not feeling like I will be letting anyone down, if I say I can't help, can't work more hours, can't push myself that little (although it's never just a little) bit further.

I'm still learning, still becoming more aware of what it looks like to reach my full potential. As each year passes, I understand more, tapping into some more wisdom, as I navigate this crazy ride, that we call life.
