My name is Geon and I am going to tell you a story of how I walked on the golden bridge up above the sky. A story that will leave you with questions yet to have an answer. Yeah, you guessed it right. Heaven! The place was beyond human reach, but I did set my feet on the golden bridge leading to Heaven and all that our parents and religious leaders believed. It was, hmm… everything was so different and some weren't true.

As a teenager living with his parents, I was made to believe all that our parents or elders tell us, because they seem to know it all, as they had experienced. Still, that didn't narrow my curiosity as young blood. My parents were so religious, that they hold respected positions in the Church, as I and my siblings were taught to follow their beliefs never to ask them why? Or to go against their will. Depriving us of the things of the world. But as time goes, I began to understand why they did so, although I was yet to fully give into such life they wanted for me.

Imagine, a girl's favorite boy in school, now so dedicated to the things of Church and lacking the fun youthful life as a teenager. So I decided to share my life, by serving two masters. Master of Trinity and Master of Pleasure. Yeah! Manipulation and deceit, but I had to live like that in other to be at peace with my worldly friends even though many preaches against such act. My mother will say to me, "Geon, my boy. You are burning a strange fire. Pray, I don't get burnt by it."

If everyone didn't notice my strange behavior, my mother would call me to order. But this time I chose not to listen. I maintain all the home training and obey the ten commandments of the Bible. I never fornicated even when I had the chance to, but I just couldn't. All in the name of my principles. A principle that will redefine me soon.

After a night party with some of my high school friends. The drinking, dancing, and having my first kiss with Sandra. Just the kiss sent sweet thoughts to my head. "Should I make love to her? Or make feel me tonight? Oh, shit! C'mon, fuck the rules." I thought to myself, as I couldn't express my feelings to her. I knew she wanted more than a kiss. And if I stayed longer there, I might not control the urge. So I excused myself and walked back home in the mid of the night, climbing up the roof and sneaking into my room through the open window.

Immediately, I laid down on my bed trying to take off my shots but I couldn't, I was feeling so dizzy and weak. So I laid down completely and slept without taking off my clothes. Suddenly, I fell asleep. A deep sleep that my soul stepped out of my body and stood staring at my unconscious body lying still on the bed, as I could feel alive.

"Oh My God!! What's happening?" I screamed aloud. But nobody came. I ran back to my body I couldn't go back in. I tried picking up a phone but it fell off my hands. "Am I died?" I said in shock, as a white light shone on me and beamed me up through my roof, up to the dark sky. as I shouted. It was faster than the speed of light. A speed I couldn't explain its nature.

Soon, I found myself on a glass bridge made of gold with a white sky. I could see my reflection on the shining gold glass bridge. "How am I on a white gown?" I said to myself, as I looked up and saw I was in a queue, walking forward to a giant gate. I was surprised, I wasn't just walking, a strange force was driving me forward.

I was drawn in near to the gate, but the closer I got, the louder I heard voices saying these two sentences.
"Welcome holy soul." "Depart from thee."

And their voices were thunderous. But where I am? And who was saying those words? Even when dead, my curiosity was active. Do you remember the stories of how angels looked beautiful, well that wasn't the beauty I expected. At the sight of them, I remembered why they always say, "fear not" each time they appear to a human in their true form. It was true what the book of Revelation said about them.

"Next!!" The voice echoed.

I stood shaking before them. They had scary looks. They were as tall as a mountain. One of them had four faces, that of a lion, an Ox, an eagle, and a human with big white wings. It was called Cherubim, while the other was having six wings, two of which are for flying, while it use the rest to cover its heads and feet. It was called Seraphim. As they guard the gates of Heaven.

"Geon!!!" Seraphim called my name
Immediately, a strange wind pushed me forward.

"You lived a double life on Earth and still you tried to maintain your belief, but you can't serve two Masters at the same time. So you are not worthy to enter the gate. He brought out his hands from his wings. Its palm was wide as a classroom board. I could see how I lived my life on Earth. The good and bad things I did. Everything was shoved into my face. I felt guilty and ashamed of myself, suddenly my white garment had black spots on them and that made Seraphim order me out. "Depart from thee…" as I was about to plead. I saw myself going down to the pit of fire. Hell.

Then I heard, "Stop!!!" The Angels shouted.

"My Master asked for your soul to be given a second chance," Cherubim said.

I couldn't talk, but they knew all my thoughts.

"Don't thank us. Praise God! And thank the tears of your father and mother, who are living a holy life. Their prayers and tears touched the heart of my master. Now, he pleaded for mercy of your soul from his Father." Seraphim said

"Now you have a second chance. Go and rewrite your story. As I am watching, we are watching you, Geon." Cherubim Added

"Tell others." They both shouted as their voices echoed.

Just as the light beamed me up, it beamed me back to my body. Immediately, I was in my body and waken. Only to see tears in my parent's eyes.

"He's alive!!!" My mother called out.
