A perfect walk
After a couple of days of overly socializing and a bit too much caffeine, alcohol and sugar, a walk in nature was very welcome to @clareartista and me.
Even more, after having been away from our land ( and in a city ) for over a week now.
Although the area where we walked was a bit of a funny mixture between forest and park - quite monoculture-ish and planted - it still looked pretty enough and we did enjoy our time there.
As you can see, the view up there on this cloudy Winter's day wasn't too shabby...
I found this red pine cone that almost seemed painted...
We climbed some nice rocky hills that were less steep than our land but still a decent exercise after some relatively lazy days
Clare discovered huge lumps of resin on a couple of trees and we decided to take some home with us to possibly use as a fire starter/burn on the woodfire.
We found an area where a series of trees had fallen down and speculated on what had happened here...
Mossy conifere...
All in all it was worth the wee drive and we enjoyed being outside, using our muscles and breathing in fresh air ( aside from some extreme perfume and car fumes, on the way there ).
And we seemed to have timed it perfectly because just after we arrived home, it started raining and it has done so for the last two hours or so.

Yes; this is not a walk I've done before, and it was interesting to see more of this local area (even as we are leaving it soon).... And wow, that was some crazy perfume we smelled on the way to the car 🤯🥴🥵 Cannot imagine what would've had to have been sprayed, for it to linger aaaaalllll the way down the street like that!
You two are just so cute talking to each other in the comments. Gives me a case of the warm and fuzzies:)
That's because we don't talk to each other

I see you're speaking Scottish now. You'd want to nip that in the bud quick smart:)
Looks a good place for a walk on the nature! Great views also
Red pine cone is something I have never seen before
Look who's back! Back in town
Holidays over after befana!
OOf, looks cold! But nothing bed than a brisk adventure into the woods to shuffle those cobwebs out. I wish I could do a long walk...
