Two Weeks Later - An Update on Our Housing Situation
Two weeks have passed without me sharing a single post.
I was close to hitting 'submit post' a week ago but I wasn't feeling it/the topic and decided otherwise.
My phone also decided to stop working, about a week ago and not having wifi at home nor being in town much made it basically impossible to be active on Hive at all ( aside from via @clareartista . At least Clare compensated for my lack of presence on here by upping her sharing in the last week and a half or so, posting almost every two days.
Also. in all honesty, I enjoyed being 'forced' to be offline and - as a result - to be more present in my actual life.
Having bought 1.1 hectare of land and a 'casetta' ( a building that can hardly be called a house, aside from it having 4 walls, floors, a roof, a door and some windows ), last July, and having minimum funds to work on it, means that Clare and I have plenty of reasons/ are very motivated to work in the garden/ on our land as well as to do up our living - or mostly sleeping - area, manyally, step by little step. And believe me when I say that we need all the time and energy we can muster for that.
Yesterday we returned to the city of Guardia Sanframondi again, where Clare's old house resides. In a couple of days we have a visitor, a woman from my home country who is seriously interested in ( buying ) the house.
Fingers crossed that the good feeling that Clare and I have about her might lead to us selling this place. It might be just what this woman needs for the next step in her life.
It will also help us loads and will make it easier for us to invest a bit more in our land and our building there. And - who knows - it might even help us to buy our neighbor's land and the two little buildings located right next to ours. They are for sale and we would love to add them to our land. We could use the extra ( living and storage ) space and increased privacy plus there are some amazing trees on that plot of land.
To Be Convinued...
Sending love from Italy!

9 commentsGood luck with the house sale! Will you get an actual house (or ast least a more suitable habitable building) if you're able to buy the neighbour's land and buildings?
Not an actual house, no.
They are similar buildings - former stables/ storage space but they are right next to ours and seem to be in a better state than ours.
Well if they're better condition they'll be easier to convert into a house at least. Good luck!
Sending Ecency love your way, thanks for using Ecency.
Hope thing work and the house sells. I will enjoy seeing how the new place comes along. As far as not posting. No need to worry. We all get busy with life outside Hive. As we should. I am sure things will be picking up for me again soon. Then I won't be posting as much.
Thank you, Joe! You get it. Have a good one!
Good luck selling the house! Then you will have funds to improve your new house!
Improve the house and/or add the neighbor's land and buildings to ours ;<)
