! [ENGLISH]
One of the squares that I have perhaps paid the least attention to in all the years I have been living in Maracay is Plaza España, located in the Santa Rosa neighbourhood, perhaps because it is far from where I live. However, I have passed by here every day since my children attended primary and secondary school, approximately eleven years ago, and I had never stopped to enjoy its charms.
Plaza España is a public space located in the Santa Rosa neighbourhood on San Miguel Street in Maracay. This square is a free and public space, and the people who most frequent and use this place are those who live nearby, specifically in the Santa Rosa neighbourhood. Some of us call this square Santa Rosa, as few people know it as España.
I don't really know much about this square or how old it is. Some say that it was the first thing created in the area by its first inhabitants, who shared good times there with their families. I saw that there is a school next to the square and a church on the other side, the Church of Santa Rosa, dedicated to the Virgin of Bethlehem.

As soon as I passed the square, I could see that it has a great deal of goodness, as it has many large trees around it, which means that this square has a lot of shade, so much so that not only we humans can enjoy it, but also animals, such as this little dog that I saw taking a nice nap on one of the benches, which are made of concrete but are nevertheless very well maintained. This was around 10 a.m. and there were several people from the neighbourhood sitting there enjoying themselves.

This square is located in the Girardot district of Maracay, and I can see that all the squares in the district are very clean. there are always people keeping an eye on the cleanliness. In fact, on this day there were people cleaning the square. One of the things I noticed is that the square is divided into small sections, as there is a circular section with benches on one side, another small section with benches in a circle on the other side, and there are approximately three more sections in the same way.
This square also has a small, well-built plastic playground for children, which is relatively well maintained, as I saw some children playing there and they keep it clean. These playgrounds have their history, but it is always good to have playgrounds in squares so that parents can take their children to have fun. It is a great form of recreation. I remember that my father always liked to take me to the playgrounds, and when I had my children, he told me that he would take them.

It's not that this square is very large; in fact, I would say it's medium-sized, but it's a very welcoming square. It's cool, especially in Maracay, where it gets quite hot. It's a refuge for families who live in the surrounding areas and a refuge for anyone who wants to take a break. So, if you don't know this square, I invite you to come and see it.
