As every Thursday of memories, here I share with you my participation today, Thursday, May 9, 2024 in the Tbt Contest called by our friend José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, for the #topfamiliy community. Cuando comienzo a recorrer mis archivos fotográficos en digital, puedo pasar muchas horas viendo imágenes del pasado porque es un registro inmenso , y yo lo tengo organizado por año y mes, desde que tengo internet en casa, o sea, un poco más de 15 años.

Las fotos donde siempre me detengo, son las de mis hijos, me encanta ver imágenes desde su infancia, y cómo el tiempo ha logrado cambios tan hermosos. Para una madre, cada cambio en ellos es una cosa maravillosa.

Esta imagen de mis dos retoños data del año 2012, en esa época mi hijo se había ido a vivir a Cumaná transferido por la empresa donde trabajaba, para ocupar un puesto en una sucursal que quedaba ubicada entre Cumaná y Carúpano, estado Sucre.

When I start going through my digital photographic archives, I can spend many hours looking at images of the past because it is a huge record, and I have it organized by year and month, since I have internet at home, that is, a little more than 15 years.

The pictures where I always stop, are those of my children, I love to see images from their childhood, and how time has achieved such beautiful changes.For a mother, every change in them is a wonderful thing.

This image of my two offspring dates from 2012, at that time my son had gone to live in Cumaná transferred by the company where he worked, to take a position in a branch that was located between Cumaná and Carúpano, Sucre state.

Venía algunos fines de semana para quedarse con nosotras, y de verdad que pasábamos días inolvidables porque aprovechábamos cada segundo al máximo. Salíamos al cine, a recorrer la ciudad, a comer perros calientes, pizza o hamburguesas que eran nuestras comidas chatarras favoritas, jajaja, o nos quedábamos en casa y comprábamos ingredientes para prepararlas nosotros mismos y alquilábamos unas buenas películas de DVD.

Cuando ya llegaba el domingo nos despedíamos de él con nostalgia porque los tres estábamos acostumbrados a estar juntos siempre. Esta foto se las tomé un domingo cuando él ya se iba de regreso a Cumaná, y cada vez que la veo, se me hace un nudito en la garganta. Mis hijos son mis grandes razones de vivir, son mis mayores tesoros, y amo verlos juntos, unidos, que ni la mayor de las distancias limite el amor que hay entre ellos dos.

He would come some weekends to stay with us, and we really spent unforgettable days because we took advantage of every second to the fullest. We would go out to the movies, to walk around the city, to eat hot dogs, pizza or hamburgers which were our favorite junk food, hahaha, or we would stay at home and buy ingredients to prepare them ourselves and rent some good DVD movies.

When Sunday came we would say goodbye to him with nostalgia because the three of us were used to always being together. I took this picture of him on a Sunday when he was on his way back to Cumaná, and every time I see it, I get a little knot in my throat. My children are my greatest reasons to live, they are my greatest treasures, and I love to see them together, united, that not even the greatest of distances can limit the love that exists between the two of them.
