Substitute players.

Once I heard a catchphrase that I didn't think about at the time, but today it suddenly surfaced in my memory and this phrase: Sport is like life, and life is like sport.

Well, yes, to some extent the competitive process is always present in our lives, especially if we want to achieve something.

Moreover, in any business you can see juniors, experienced athletes and those who for some reason ended up on the bench.

If in sport everything is clear, who is who, then in life, the arrangement of status may be under great question, because there are many inconsistencies and oddities that, well, completely go beyond the scope of sports guidelines lol.

You've seen children playing in a sandbox, and their parents sitting somewhere nearby on a bench and chatting with each other, or just reading a newspaper while their children are doing something on a man-made beach.

If you look at it from a sports point of view, then the parents are the coaches, and the children are the junior athletes.

That's how it looks at first glance, but it can be deceptive, or, simply, definitely wrong.

Small children are so creative that they don't get bored seeing only sand, a plastic bucket and a shovel in front of them, they don't know how to occupy themselves with these simple things and will never say that they are bored.

It turns out that parents who periodically glance at their watches, starting to get bored on the bench and not having, or rather having lost that first creativity given by God, are the category of reserve players who have not been allowed onto the playground for a long time and their lot is only to glance at the clock, which inexorably goes forward and prevents the opportunity to remember that simple happiness that we experienced in childhood, playing in the sandbox.
