We all need to CREATE
Teaching creativity is a way to promote art. In my classroom, I have little ones who need to learn how to create, so I set up a creative space for my little artists to learn to enjoy art.
They say that life is better when it's full of color. I believe that imagination helps us a lot at that age, but sometimes we need that push to move forward and create without fear.
I hear little voices saying “I can't” and “I don't know,” but that's where that magical push that invites them to create, draw, paint, and do crafts is needed.
This week we had a very special creation: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We all know that Christmas carol, and the children love it, so we got to work.
Encouraging the practice of creative recycling, a toilet paper roll, colored paper, and paint brought this magical Christmas character to life. The children were proud of their creations, each one different from the other, even though they were given a model as a guide.
I am certain that children need to create. Through their creations, they express and channel their emotions, feel creative and capable, and develop their fine motor skills.
For me, creating means making the invisible visible, connecting with our thoughts. It is a way of bringing to life that which does not yet have form, of connecting, and for me, as a teacher and as a person, creating will always be important. 🌈.
For many, art class is a waste of time, just something to pass the time. For me, it means much more. It is feeling and living, appreciating the simplicity of what we can create, without limits.
Art changes and nourishes everyone's soul and creativity. It is one of the best ways to introduce children to the world, letting them learn to create art without fear.🌈
