My wife has been admiring my hair as I left it without cutting it. I trim it sometimes but I'm always combing it just to make it unique. Ever since the very first day she saw me with my hairstyle, she has been falling for me which I was not aware of before we got married. 

After our marriage, she revealed the truth about what she felt deep in her heart and which part of my body she loved the most. "The very first day I saw you, I liked you just because of your hairstyle. You have captivated my soul and heart after having a direct look at your hairstyle. This is the kind of man I had dreamt of marrying, a man with an afro hairstyle who can always have it combed but not leave it rough", she said.

Since we got married, I have never for once cut my hair since it was what she loved and cherished. Most of the time, she would caress my hair making me feel great and also she would pour out praises as well as songs of praise just to make me feel great. 

The month we traveled for my mother-in-law's burial ceremony, I took my children to the barbing saloon to have their haircut. My younger son had some rashes on his hair but in the end, I got his haircut. My wife wanted to leave his hair as it was just because of the rashes he had but after all, it did not affect him after the haircuts.

While the guy was cutting my children's hair, I decided to look in the mirror and saw the unexpected. My hair was somehow too full, rough, and not equal. I told the guy to trim my hair so that I would look so cool and my wife would admire me the most. I don't know if he does not know what is called trimming or if he does not understand English. After some minutes, I saw that my hair was gone, leaving just a few behind. "What is this?" I yelled. He could not understand what I was yelling at and so asked "What is the problem, Sir?" You have finished my hair, I told you to trim but not to finish up my hair, I said. He was mute without uttering a word. After some minutes, he said, "I'm sorry". Whereas the deed has been done. 

How am I going to face my wife? I said. As I was going, I was contemplating and was afraid of meeting my wife, but what should I do? At least she is going to see my hair after all. 

As my wife saw me from afar, she was left amazed just as if she saw a different person entirely. Until I walked to where she was, she was just gazing at my hair and immediately shook her head. "Why did you allow the guy to chop off the whole of your hair or is it what you asked for"? She asked. 

I was short of words and told her "Actually, this was not what I asked of but then the deed had been done. I cannot attach the hair back neither would he? I said 

Everyone who saw me could not recognize me any longer until they drew closer to me. 

Looking in the mirror, my image transformed. I was not the one I used to know and everyone also saw another of me instead of me.
