Bitcoin music
Go straight to the playlist: https://crrdlx.vercel.app/hodlsong/hodlsong.html
In 2021, I wrote and "sang" a silly song, The Hodl Song. Yesterday, an AI bot popped on the scene: call the bot and tell it to make a song. Okay, this reminded me of my Hold Song so I prompted it to make a bitcoin sea shanty. I got this back.
You likely can't play it here, but the song was terrific. Give it a listen at this link.
I posted the song on Stacker.news, item 1021724, and someone picked up on it. In today's day of AI, it never occurred to me to use AI to try and improve my Hodl Song. I have zero music abilities and zero music/video AI abilities. But, other people have both. User guerratotal came up with four iterations of the song.
I was blown away!
First, it blew me away that someone took my song and actually re-mixed it. 😀 I wrote this comment:
My man! Those are awesome! I listened to them while doing a little jog and was literally laughing out loud (glad no one was around). Here's what imagery came to mind, I think this is the order they were made:
Hodl Yodl - the crew is down in the ship's galley, it's dark, they finished dinner, everyone has a beer in hand, the captain is leading the men in song.
Hodl - same as above, but now it's about 2:00 am and they're several beers, they're slowing down for sure but still in the fight
Pirates' Breath - this is the Broadway musical version of a pirate ship seeking all the lost-at-sea bitcoin
Hodl Yodel 2.0 - same as above, but on ice
The last two are amazing in cinematic quality. I think the first, Hodel Yodel, is my favorite because it's got that I-wanna-sing-along feel to it.
If I ever hear one of these being at a bitcoin conference...well, my work here is complete. 😀
The next step...the music video. Would be so neat to actually see a video of the pirates on/in the ship or tavern singing this song. (If anyone has AI suggestions as to how to do this, I'd love to know.)
I put all the songs together in a sort of playlist at https://crrdlx.vercel.app/hodlsong/hodlsong.html There's also a bitcoin polka song (source here). To me, polka music is about as happy-sounding as it gets. Just fun stuff.
I go by [@crrdlx](/@crrdlx) or "CR" for short. See all my links or contact info at https://linktr.ee/crrdlx.
