Pelirrojo y rizado
-Jajajaja-
-No te burles.
The contest had ended about fifteen minutes ago, and Nadia was still dancing. Exhausted and dizzy, Justo bent over, grabbed a pitcher of lemonade, and one of the carrots left over from the previous contest.
"It was impossible for us to win the carrot-eating contest, but we won the dancing one after all," she said.
Justo had just met Nadia, who seemed fascinated by his curly, red hair. No matter how hard he tried to slip away, Nadia always found him again in the crowd. He'd been unemployed for two months, didn't have any money to take her out to dinner, and felt sorry for her poverty.
"Hey, I'm getting hungry,"
Nadia said with a flirty smile.
Justo didn't know what to say.
"To be fair, I should tell you I'm unemployed."
"Hahaha."
"Don't make fun of me." It can happen to anyone.
"No, man, I'm laughing because you said 'to be fair,' and well, you're not going to be someone else. Hahaha. Besides, I already knew."
"And how did you know?"
"Oh, because I have your resume here. You left it at my restaurant this morning."
"Oh, wow."
"Come on, let's have dinner at the restaurant, and then you can go to sleep because you start early tomorrow."
That day, Justo met the love of his life. Who would have thought that life had such a cheerful and beautiful woman in store for him, a woman who would give him a job, affection, and a few years later, a daughter who would be his pride and joy? Since then, every year Justo and Nadia sponsor the regional carrot-eating contest, of which he himself has become an icon with his red, curly hair.
