childhood is outgrown with experience, just like any stage of life, and that is one beautiful thing in life, because growth without memories is as good as not living a fulfilled life spent at that moment.

I grew up in an environment one can call a very highly intensifying public space, where children were mostly allowed to run around even naked.

Without having more issues, thought I had clothes, but not gorgeous ones, but there is something every child then didn't lack, and that was the skill and ability to be creative to produce toys for themselves.

I was a playful type, with so much talent in creating toys of any kind without having to think too much about how it would turn out. One of those beautiful experiences and skills, or those toys that I made that still give me joy and remind me of our new way of living, is the toy I made from a Peak milk can product.

Each time I and my friend would go out to scavenge for empty and recyclable Peak milk containers, the question was, what kind of toy do I make out of these containers?

Cars, yes, all kinds of cars, and trucks, the most beautiful ones, were each time I made a truck that had twenty-four tires. It was such a great memory.

Every child in the neighborhood always admired the little difference in the toys I made, and some even begged and promised me their lunch if I could make something different for them.

Which I didn't fail to do for them, one can say; my childhood skills in making toys were a way of escaping the hunger that came in the afternoon, that's to say my lunch was always guaranteed. But that's not even the point here, so fast forward.

These toys were not only made using the material I mentioned; sometimes I go the extra mile in scanning for briveleg cap covers I use to make my design.

It was fun, and nothing gives me joy as living in that neighborhood. This kept the children closer to me. If I'm away for a few days, to stay with my Aunty, no one feels the vibes of neighborhood.

This car, after making them, I usually fasten it with a rope that is made out of rubber rings and I tire this rubber ring of about 20 inches in length to something that looks like a steering wheel of a car.

I run around the neighborhood with it. I also want to be sent on an errand so I would have the opportunity of riding it to a more far-away distance. One of the beautiful things again about this toy that gave me all the joy it did was the sound.

Since it was made with containers and dragged to the floor, the noise it generated each time it came in contact with any stone or roof meant it was strong. I often run with it, holding on to the rubber rings that are fastened to the steering.

It was not just a toy. To I and other kids, it was a privilege of to have the kind f fun luxury couldn't afford us at the time like other rich kids.

After doing our home chores, we would sit somewhere alone roadside, on the streets, looking and waiting to see a new cars drive past.

This was another way of building our brain because I have always wanted to do something new. I look at the way the bodies of these past cars are built, and I even argue each time the most beautiful car has passed that, that is my car."

Which means no one would make a toy car of such a body build. Toys I used during my childhood were fun, though compared to what is available now. Because we made them myself, I can always dismantle them and turn them into anything I want without stressing.

Another good thing about this kind of toy I made was that, it exposed me to knowing more about cars. Talking about the parts of cars and how they function in real life.

Because I could still remember that I also used old and worn-out slippers that most of my neighbors disposed of to produce the something that served as the bolt of the toy cars I made.I have to cut them into circles or triangular shapes to make it look bright.

Thereafter, I sandpepper the edges so it will be shining and attractive to the sight. Growing up wiß this toy was fun for me; nothing would have replaced the memory and memen at that time because it was the only thing that gave me joy.

My parents of course didn't have the means of taking me to go and see a movies like what we have today. I see my life that toy, I make myself happy with what was available.
