Trust the System… What Could Go Wrong?
PART 3 of 3 — The “this will never happen here” chapter… where history laughs at us.
POST:
But sure, let’s all pretend the U.K.’s digital ID system will somehow be the nice version.
Totally different from the systems that froze bank accounts, arrested protesters, and auto-blacklisted people for bad opinions.
This is how it always goes:
Step 1: “It’s just a tool.”
Step 2: “It’s for your safety.”
Step 3: “You can’t work, travel, bank, or breathe without it.”
Governments love to market these systems as “convenience.”
Like a Starbucks rewards card… except it can shut your life off if you misbehave.
But hey… trust them.
What could possibly go wrong?
(That question has never ended well.)
CALL TO ACTION:
👉 Final question: Are digital IDs the future of “safety”… or the future of control? What do YOU think?
