Genius Juice – Day 67
About a week ago I switched over these plants lighting cycles to make them flower, and now we are seeing signs of the buds forming. The stretch is also occurring, this is known in the cannabis community as the time the plant grows quickly vertically when flowering is starting. So I think we are on our way to having buds very soon.

The amount of leaves in this canopy is truly amazing, the plants were topped twice during their vegetative stage giving them many more places to grow new leaf sets.
LED lighting is nice to have, now I do not need to change out light bulbs when I flower. As these are full spectrum lights, giving them what they need all the way from seedling through flowering light wise.
One plant so far as reached the second netting. But the others should be there soon as well.
They are really filling out this 5x8 tent well.
And their water saucers give them lots to drink from, when I water them I add water to the top of the soil and leave half in the saucer for them to drink up.
These plants are very thirsty at this point, and having extra water for them they seem to want that. Drinking it up in a matter of hours.
I feel like I am really dialing in my grows on this one. Things are going pretty smoothly. I do wish plant number three would catch up, but that still may happen once they all form buds.
But most of them are all the same size, so that canopy is forming nicely. And soon they will all be over the next level of netting.
When the buds finally form and get quite top heavy, this netting is so nice to have.
But for now we just have tiny buds, but they should form into something nice pretty soon.
Now we have started flowering, we must wait the longest peroid of time in their cycle.. The flowering cycle can take around months, and sometimes over three months for more sativa dominant strains.
During this time they form their terpines and other flavor profiles. Along with all of the THC and other cannabinoids. Possibly late in the flowering cycle we will see the anthocyanins turn the leaves and buds purple. That would be really cool, looking forward to that possibility.
IOT data from the grow tent for the last month
The soil moisture sensors have been working great, I give them more water whenever their percentage gets into the low 20s. Helps me keep the plants from being shocked by getting too low on water levels in the soil.
I also have temperature probes that go keep into the seven gallon pots that monitor the current temperature of the soil.
Humidity levels are tracked, high levels are usually happening at night when the fans cycle off. As i get further into flowering I may need to run the fans all the time to help keep the night time humidity lower. Those spikes on the bottom end is when my humidifiers ran dry and I did not notice for a few hours. Seems like the plants are okay with that usually.
I have been tracking the C02 levels as well, with the grow bags installed in the tent its something that should be producing carbon dioxide. Though I am not seeing very high levels. That spike was quite I was working inside the tent, otherwise the levels are low. A good reminder to run fans while I work in the tent, probably not good for my health to be in there with 1000+ PPM of C02.
And for the tent temperature, we can see I have been keeping the tent below 85F for the most part.. Usually in the low 80s. The night time lows have been dropping into the low 60F's so I hope if the cold weather keeps up that should be enough to turn the buds purple during late flower.

They look very healthy and full-bodied. The indica/sativa blend is a very interesting balance.
And the LED light, in addition to the benefits you mentioned, improves the quality of the photograph.
Yeah I think the balance should be nice. I do like my new lights.
This is truly a lot of work, my friend. Where did you learn all this? You do an excellent job; they look very healthy and strong. Well cared for.
It is a lot of work. I learned it from doing many of these grows over the years. I have have a good support system that gives me advise, and we help out each other with plant problems.

Yep, the long-awaited blooms have finally arrived. I can't wait to see them bloom. I can tell you that you can harvest a lot of marijuana flowers this season.
I think it should be a pretty big harvest this year too.. Hoping for at least a pound.

It's quite meticulous work, it requires a lot of technique. Such dedication is admirable; they look very good. I couldn't handle so many mechanisms. Regards.
Thanks, it has been a lot to take in over the years. But glad I am learning along the way.
