Hive Wealth Just Keeps Growing
Each day it seems we see the wealth associated with Hive just keep growing. This makes sense since it is a compounding machine that is going to increase the holdings of those who are active here.
Most never experienced something like this yet it is normal for the "1%". This is how wealth is generated and those who are on Hive can put the knowledge to use.
Markets are vital to the process and having assets is crucial. Both are accomplished within the realm of cryptocurrency. Hive appears to be joining in very nicely, something that is becoming abundantly obvious as time passes.
Personally, I believe we will be in a much different spot by the end of the year. We will see what a Hive account is worth at that point.
SourceGet Involved And Grow
It appears the key is to just show up and get active. This is enough to start the process of building enormous wealth within cryptocurrency. Nowhere is this more evident than in the foundation that is being laid within the #Play2Earn environment.
For example, we just had a major release this week with Splinterlands. The Waka NFTs went on sale and were scooped up quickly. From what I understand, they went for around $1,600 each. For the 100 that were sold in total, this is a tidy sum.
Of course, these had to be purchased. However, the game itself is a "printing press" for people heavily involved. Rewards throughout the game allow people to grow their holdings. This could have fed into what those used to purchased the NFTs.
Now that they are sold out, the lowest price for them on the open market is $2,300. What a nice return for a couple days.
We can also see how the Proof-of-Brain concept can help to fund many people. Through the associated tribes, we see the ability to get rewarded in different tokens. This can provide a financial foundation to build upon. Through delegation, curation, and staking, one can receive even more tokens. Here is where the compounding takes effect.
Naturally, none of this really deals with the network effect. This is what can send markets crazy. As more people join, the supply is spread out among a larger group. The demand increase means that only one thing can happen; prices go up.
There is a benefit to showing up and being active. We are dealing with a lot more than just a "social media blockchain".

Airdrops are a great way to enhance wealth. This is also a part of Hive. We already see a number of projects that were announced. Throughout the year, we are going to see tokens dropped to people based upon their holdings. Some are based upon HIVE while others relate to other tokens.
Either way, the value here is that people are going to have stake in new projects that have potential for even more growth. Again, a simple way to compound without much extra effort.
We have to be careful with airdrops. The reality is most projects end up in the bin. They are not well thought out while lacking the resources, human or financial, to succeed. Nevertheless, there is an opportunity. Think of it akin to lottery tickets. We are handed them with the opportunity for something to make it big.
After all, look at the value of some of the holdings by those active in Splinterlands. That is something that really took off over the last year. How many millionaires will that game alone create?

There is also the @psyberx drop of NFTs (crates) to those holding over 200K LVL.
As many saw with the fork of Hive, the same number of tokens were given based upon the holding of STEEM. The latter could be sold off to purchase other tokens that were of greater interest.

The potential of Hive is really starting to show through. While there are still detractors, we are seeing a strong foundation being laid. At this moment, we are still small but powerful. The community is dedicated meaning we have a basis to build from.
Since it is open to anyone, we have a larger target market. There is little doubt the big money is on Ethereum. However, basically to play in that arena one has to have money. There are few ways to simply show up and get active.
On Hive, the opposite is true. One can get an account and with a bit of HP delegated, which most of the apps will do, one can get busy. It is a slower process naturally but wealth can be built that way. The compounding goes into effect the second anything is paid out on Hive.
For example, get some HIVE and stake it, that will kick off the annual 2.85% inflation adjustment. Or if one takes HBD and puts it into savings, the 12% annual interest payment is begun.
Delegating HP to different projects can often result in rewards in that application's token. Staking can also provide a return.
The key is that most of these exceed the returns that people are accustomed to in the established financial system. They say the annual return of the stock market over the last half century is about 9% annually. Look around Hive and see what pays better than that. Of course, we won't even mention what banks are paying.
Recognizing the value before it becomes evident to everyone is the key to massive wealth generation. After the fact is easy to see. As they say, hindsight is 20/20. However, when one can see what is forming before all the pieces are in place, there is where massive returns are generated. Those who understood Apple before the IPod (and certainly the IPhone) are now very wealthy if they had significant stake.
Is Hive going to be the next Apple? Not likely. However, it is an ecosystem that is expanding which means tremendous wealth will be generated over the next decade. For this reason, anyone involved will see their portion of Hive wealth grow.
Layer 2 solutions are only going to keep expanding and, as Splinterlands is proving, this can set a lot of people up for life.

I see, in the future, no reason Hive cannot reach those levels. Look at how far Hive has come since it was established from that not to be named other chain. Lol
Like you pointed out, the things coming. The network effect, the 10X effect. There is no stopping Hive.
Ten years from now we will look back and think. How did this happen? But the US that is here now contemplating the future will know.

I know it's a stretch to say it... and I think I can also make an argument for why it isn't even comparable, but Hive could be the next Apple. It was really just that one big innovation that launched it to the heights it has enjoyed, and once we get people accustomed to using DAOs to fund innovation, rather than having to wait for VCs to get around to it, something like Hive could very well become a hub from which new projects on par with the ipod/iphone, or even bigger, launch regularly.
Personally, I don't like my choices of smartphones. They spend too much on things I don't use. I'd like to invest in a company that offers me a customizable device, similar to how one can dictate what hardware and software his pc is equipped with out of the box.
Apple would never offer that. It's better for them to keep us locked in to whatever they want to deliver. Thus that innovation would be smothered in the cradle at Apple. On Hive, it could find funding and launch the next evolution of smartphones.
HIVE looks set to grow more than I expected by the end of this year. Great dapps are coming. HIVE is building its own world, running towards becoming one of the most valuable brands of the future.

Hive is a platform and the best thing that ever happened
I personally think splinterlands has changed the game for Hive. I mean they kind of championed the playtoearn card category. Not even "gods unchained" is this quick in matches. Besides the tokens on hive are worth investable too. I have high hopes from hive and it's playtoearn ecosystem.
It is amazing what the game did for the ecosystem. Splinterlands is amazing.

Funny how the simplicity of doing this makes it very hard for some people to do.
Just think everyday you are active you are adding more tokens to your wallet and overtime this becomes significant. The compounding effect is really brilliant and have learned it's power by being on Hive. Like you I can see thousands of users becoming really wealthy and all they have to do is stay active.

Excellent post @taskmaster4450! Many of the younger crowd in Hive have little experience with compounding unless they are heavy in the stock market. For those of us a bit older we lived in a time when 7% interest was earned on a passbook saving account. I see Hive as an excellent hedge on inflation and a great investment sector as well.

Airdrops are really wonderful. Sometimes I'm looking at my wallet and I noticed that I got a bunch of tokens from out of nowhere. As you said, many of those become dust in the end, but if a couple of them actually become something valuable, it can really change one's life.

Actually , I collect a lot of airdrop from my telegram, but they are not come to my wallet. Some small token / coin airdrop are accepted with a very small amount. That's not made me some income. So, I leaving it and come to the Hive. I'm from the developing country so the internet data price was very high and I cann't spend many time on the internet.
I absolutely see the value now and how much better it can get here on Hive. It is all real and lives up to the excitement
Since you're talking about Hive savings interest, may I ask a couple questions?
Been watching my HBD savings, and haven't noticed any growth for about a month, other than what I put into it. So I have the same questions as above about Hive Power, since it claims to earn interest also.
Not finding anything in the transactions list to demonstrate either HP or HBD savings is earning any interest.

I think it will still take a little bit longer for Hive to take off. Eventually we would want people to be using a Hive account without knowing it's a Hive account. So we definitely need more popular apps like Splinterlands.

I will never be thankful enough to the Splinterlands team for making this amazing game that made me find out about hive.
I still remember the day I realized what's possible on this blockchain and how my mind was blown away...
The first question I asked myself was "Wait a minute...how it is possible that the token is still under 1$ ?? Am I missing something?" 🤣
This is so true. The crazy thing is I know for a fact that if I explain what's possible here to my friends/family that are not into crypto, they would tell me there's no way it's legit.
I really see Hive playing a big part in the future web3.0 that is being created right now in front of our eyes. It's gonna be huge here, there's no other way 😄
I have see the Waka nft selling for as much as $5000, depends if the demand is there. I have HP delegated to earn some hive, very little like 0.003 but it does add up. The hbd savings get you 12%, I think you have to convert your hbd to get the interest. But I'm not sure if you can unstake anytime. I know there is a 3.5 day for hbd transfer back to hive. I mean if you can afford few thousand dollars, buying splinterlands nfts can make you a fortune. Behold they are rather cheap just now. This is just my personal opinion only invest sparsely !
This to me is a good summary of what makes Hive a compounding machine (play2earn, POB, network effect, staking, and airdrops via Ragnarok, SpkNetwork, ProjectBlank, PolyCub, and psyberx). No problem if Hive wont' be the next Apple. The important thing is that as days pass, we see it continually growing and I myself even struggle to catch up with the expansion of the existing projects. How much more if hundreds of them will be added in the coming months and years?

Day by day the hive dev team devise and innovate new user friendly experiences for its teeming communities . I believe there is so much more to come for Hive . More people need to be brought on board too to this marvelous experience.
If we take the time when hive was founded and count on as many years as Apple exists, it very much could be that in that timeframe HIVE is growing even bigger than Apple.
Of course this is just theory but I can imagine that HIVE has a bigger growing potential than apple in the next 10 years.

There were 500 WAKA Cards Sold this past week on Splinterlands 480 of which were the Regular WAKA Card and 20 WAKA Cards that were the Gold Foil Version.
