Long live Zulia!/Viva la zulianidad.
Warm greetings, lifestyle community.
In my country, Venezuela, the city of Maracaibo, Zulia state, celebrates Zulia Day on January 28th, commemorating the independence of the province of Maracaibo from Spanish rule in 1821. For this reason, schools throughout the region hold events related to this day. This Friday, the Joaquín Costa Educational Unit, along with its students and teachers, held several activities, including traditional dances and music (gaita zuliana), and portrayals of those who work enthusiastically in the streets, such as shoeshine boys, bakers, milkmen, etc. These were common in the past and make us unique throughout the country.
